Achillobator — size comparison — facts and sources

Achillobator was a large dromaeosaurid from present-day Mongolia. Powerful hindlimbs and an enlarged second-toe claw distinguish it from many more slender theropods. A long tail balanced the forebody during movement and turns.

It was carnivorous. The enlarged claw’s hunting function remains interpreted, and bones do not establish coordinated pack attacks. Illustrated plumage is inferred from relatives rather than measured from preserved feathers of this specimen.
