Achelousaurus — size comparison — facts and sources

Achelousaurus was a horned herbivore of Cretaceous North America. Instead of a long nasal horn, the adult skull bore a rough-surfaced boss. Two elongated projections rose from its frill, creating a head profile distinctly different from Triceratops.

Its beak and teeth gathered and processed plants. Skull bosses and projections may have served signalling and individual recognition, but their exact function remains uncertain.
