Ural Rex Shorthair — size comparison — facts and sources

The Ural Rex has short or semi-long hair arranged in distinct waves. The curl extends over the whole body, and the coat has a soft, resilient texture. Its build is proportionate and muscular.

The breed descends from naturally occurring curly-coated cats of the Urals. Its coat trait developed independently of the mutations known in the Cornish Rex and Devon Rex. WCF breeding rules preserve this population’s distinct identity and do not permit crosses with other breeds.
