Toyger — size comparison — facts and sources

The Toyger has a muscular body, a broad muzzle and a short, dense coat with pronounced stripes. Dark stripes are irregular, often branched and strongly contrasted against a warm background. Some cats have a golden sheen. Breeders also selected head shape and movement to create an appearance recalling a small tiger.

The breed developed in the United States from domestic cats without crosses to tigers. TICA granted full championship status in 2007. Coat pattern is individual and varies between cats.

Toygers are generally friendly, curious and willing to cooperate. They can quickly learn simple tasks, investigate new objects and enjoy active games. They often maintain close, relaxed contact with family members.
