Scottish Straight Shorthair — size comparison — facts and sources
The Scottish Straight has a round head, large eyes and a strong, rounded body. Ears are upright and widely set. Short, dense coats and a long-haired variety with a fluffier tail occur.
It comes from the same lines as the Scottish Fold. Folded- and straight-eared kittens occur in this group, with registries classifying the straight-eared variety differently. Straight ears retain the rounded Scottish type without the Fold’s characteristic ear bend.
It is usually calm in contact and interested in household company. It enjoys staying nearby, observing routines and joining short games. Attachment is often discreet, expressed through approaching and resting together.
