The Oriental Longhair has a slender body, long legs, a wedge-shaped head and large ears. Silky, semi-long hair lies close to the body and forms a tail plume. Many colours and patterns give the characteristic outline varied appearances.

It belongs to the Siamese and Oriental group. Breeding combined Oriental structure with recessive long hair, also developed in the Balinese. Unlike the Balinese, its colour range extends beyond points.

It is usually highly social, active and vocal. It follows people, comments on activities and investigates closely. It readily plays, climbs capably and often rests in direct contact with its owner.
