Neva Masquerade — size comparison — facts and sources

The Neva Masquerade is a strong, broad cat with a very dense semi-long coat, a full ruff and fluffy tail. Blue eyes accompany pointed colouring: darker ears, muzzle, feet and tail contrast with a paler body. The thick coat becomes particularly full in winter.

It is closely related to the Siberian. FIFe treats it as a sister breed, while TICA includes cats of this colouring within the Siberian breed. The name refers to the Neva River and a facial mask recalling a masquerade mask.

It usually enjoys accompanying family members, watching their activities or resting nearby. Despite its substantial outline, it jumps and climbs capably. During play it can be fast and persistent, particularly when following and catching moving prey.
