Ceylon — size comparison — facts and sources

The Ceylon has a graceful body and short hair in warm sandy or golden shades. Ticking gives its body a finely shaded appearance, while clearer stripes remain on legs and tail and spots may mark the belly.

It descends from cats of Sri Lanka, formerly called Ceylon. Organised breeding and the standard developed in Italy, preserving the foundation cats’ characteristic colouration.

Breed accounts describe the Ceylon as active, curious and sociable. It readily explores new places, climbs and plays with people. Interest in its surroundings usually combines with ease in making contact.
