The Bengal Longhair, also called Cashmere, has the Bengal’s strong, athletic body and silky, semi-long hair. Rosettes, spots or marbling remain clearly visible, and its tail is noticeably fluffier than the shorthaired variety’s.

Recessive long hair appeared in Bengal lines for years before deliberate development of this variety. TICA maintains it as Bengal Longhair. Cashmere refers to its soft coat texture and does not denote an additional cross with a wild species.

Usually highly active and curious, it climbs readily, investigates new objects and engages in long hunting games. It often takes intense interest in people’s activities and seeks ways to join them.
