Deroptyus accipitrinus
wzdłuż osi ciała · od końca dzioba do końca ogonaMeasurement: side
The scale compares the named dimensions. View direction and measurement points are given for each animal.
The red-fan parrot inhabits tropical northern South American forests. It spreads mobile neck feathers into a broad colourful fan, especially during excitement and interactions, accompanied by calls.
It gathers fruit, seeds and flowers among branches, often paired or in small groups. Hollows provide breeding sites, sheltering young within wood.
Długość od końca dzioba do końca ogona: 32 cm (dolna granica opublikowanego zakresu, mniejszy przykład dorosłego ptaka); nie jest to wysokość stojącej papugi ani średnia populacji. Zakres źródłowy: 32–36 cm długości ciała. Wysokość tej postawy, około 13,8 cm, wynika z proporcji ilustracji. Przód zachowuje wysokość boku; szerokość i perspektywa pozostają przybliżone. Masa zachowuje zakres źródłowy i nie jest przypisana zilustrowanemu osobnikowi.
