Anatolian Shepherd Dog — size comparison — facts and sources

The Anatolian Shepherd Dog is a tall, powerful livestock guardian with a broad head, drop ears and a dense double coat. Long legs and a tucked abdomen give it a functional, athletic outline. The UKC standard accepts different colours; the illustration shows a white dog with fawn patches.

It descends from dogs that protected farm animals in Turkey. Independent and watchful, it is usually reserved with strangers. This profile follows the UKC Anatolian standard; UKC also maintains a separate Kangal standard. Registration definitions vary between organisations, and coat colour alone cannot establish ancestry.

Profil owczarka anatolijskiego odpowiada osobnemu wzorcowi UKC.
