American Bully Pocket — size comparison — facts and sources

The American Bully Pocket is a shorter variety retaining a broad head, deep chest and muscular body. Short hair emphasises a stocky build. Pocket identifies an adult height category. These dogs remain powerful and substantial, with a build that should permit free, coordinated movement.

The American Bully originated in the United States from bull-type dogs, with considerable American Pit Bull Terrier ancestry and bulldog influences. Breeding established a stronger appearance and companion role. The United Kennel Club recognised it in 2013. Pocket developed within the same population as a shorter variety retaining general Bully structure.

Bullies are usually direct in human contact and readily seek attention. They may play enthusiastically and show considerable affection. They can be exuberant and persistent in favourite activities. Unfamiliar dogs may prompt greater distance than people.
